Funds in Focus

Fidelity features four funds for our investors.

Fidelity Funds – China Consumer Fund
  • Equity fund dedicated to reaping the benefits from rising consumption in China.

  • Rising incomes and pro-consumption policies are pushing China towards the Golden Age of consumption

  • Fund largely invested in Chinese companies - domestic players have capitalised on new found wealth and have typically been more successful in conquering consumer market because of their local knowledge

  • Managed by Raymond Ma, native Chinese and seasoned investment professional in Chinese consumer equities.

Fidelity Funds – Global Real Assets Securities Fund
  • Global equity fund that invests in companies that own real, physical assets. This includes companies in the energy, commodities, industrials and real estate sectors.

  • Historically, real assets i.e. commodities or physical property have held up relatively well during periods of rising or high inflation.

  • However, the volatile nature of these assets may not be suitable for all investors.

  • Investing in the stocks of companies that own real assets is a less volatile alternative to combat rising inflation.

Fidelity Funds – Asian High Yield Fund
  • Bond fund that invests in non-investment grade debt securities of Asian companies.

  • Investing in the bonds of Asian companies is a lower risk alternative (compared to equities) to gain exposure to the growth potential of region

  • Fund has an annual distribution yield of 6.98% (as at 30 Jun 11)

  • Attractive to investors seeking monthly income: 2 monthly distribution share classes available, A-MDIST-SGD (H) and A-MDIST-USD

Please note that non-investment grade debt securities are subject to high risk and may lead to a loss of capital. The running yield is estimated only and is not guaranteed.
Fidelity Funds – America Fund

Best Fund over 10 Years
Equity North America
  • Equity fund that invests in the US stock market.

  • Important for investors to maintain allocation to world's largest stock market

  • US market home to global leaders which have ability to grow revenues internationally. Large US companies derive more than 45% of their revenues abroad1

  • Despite recent financial crisis, America's resilience and ability to innovate has, in part, allowed her to retain her status as the world economic power
